This project is for the headquarters of an independent securities firm located in front of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Next to the Nichishokan, which stands on the site of the former Shibusawa residence, the design aims to reflect the historic significance of Japan's financial center with a dignified exterior. The facade features deep vertical slit windows with white granite mullions, creating an impression of solidity and order. Aluminum louvers at the top of the slits provide a gentle connection to the sky and add an exterior accent. Inside, wood-based materials are used to offer comfort to those engaged in high-stress work. The layout plan minimizes waste and compactly consolidates various headquarters functions. Each detail is simple and easy to maintain, aiming for a building that will be used for many years.
