Warehouse in Heiwajima

This is a normal-temperature warehouse located in an industrial area adjacent to Heiwa no Mori Park in Heiwajima, Ota Ward. In planning this distribution hub where major roads converge, functionality was prioritized. The warehouse features a versatile 10m x 10m grid layout, with a focus on floor height, load capacity, regular space, and traffic flow, resulting in a massive structure. To complement this volume, greenery was added to the west side of the site to create continuity with the lush greenery of the adjacent Heiwa no Mori Park. The exterior of the building was designed to resemble a canvas floating in a sea of green, far exceeding its scale, and was colored to evoke the blue sky and white clouds floating in the sky by the sea. Heiwa no Mori Park is a popular gathering place, and since this warehouse can be seen from afar, consideration was given to provide a touch of richness to the landscape of this area.
