This project is for a 101-story, 492-meter-tall mixed-use tower located in Shanghai's Pudong area. Designed to cater to the needs of global enterprises, it features high-performance offices (floors 7-77), the world's tallest observation deck (at the time of completion), a variety of commercial spaces, an information hub, and the luxurious Park Hyatt Shanghai (floors 79-93). This tower aims to be a central hub for business, culture, entertainment, and information in Asia. The sharp, tapering skyscraper has smaller floor areas on each level as it rises. To enhance efficiency, we designed a compact core plan that uses sky lobbies and super double-deck elevators to vertically align the elevator shafts.Mechanical rooms are strategically placed on evacuation plaza floors every 12 levels, in line with Chinese regulations, to further enhance efficiency.Safety was also a priority, with a combination of core walls, structure walls, and damping devices ensuring high performance against earthquakes and strong winds.
