This project marks the Tokyo debut of the “karaksa hotel” brand, a hotel concept focused exclusively on accommodations for tourists. Located within walking distance of Ginza, the site takes full advantage of its prime urban setting. The design aims to resonate with and harmonize with the surrounding streetscape and city lights. The top three floors are designated as premium levels, with all guest rooms positioned to offer views toward Ginza. Each room was carefully designed with attention to layout, color scheme, and materials. A glass curtain wall was adopted for the exterior to create a sense of openness. The façade design contrasts the brand’s signature monochrome palette with the building’s internal functions. It features randomly arranged window frames inspired by the urban landscape, along with vertical mullions that emphasize height. The first-floor entrance incorporates slit lighting designed to echo the nighttime illuminations of Ginza. This lighting continues into the elevator interiors, guiding guests naturally to the reception and lounge area on the second floor.
