To create a new urban environment on this 5.6-hectare site, which combines a ridgeline with a 20m elevation change and subdivided valleys, Mori Building led the formation of a redevelopment consortium. After 15 years of planning, this compact city witf green was realized, integrating a office tower, a hotel, residence towers a concert hall with green roof-top garden, and a TV studio—harmonizing work, living, and leisure spaces. Centered around a plaza, the development strategically integrates buildings, pedestrian pathways, rooftop garden, tree-lined avenues, waterfalls, pergolas, and other greenery to create a dynamic human-scaled landscape. As the inaugural project of Mori Building's Hills series, the name "Ark" is derived from the Knot (K) of Akasaka (A) and Roppongi (R).
