TV Tokyo

The TV Tokyo Headquarters & TV Studio Building of the Nikkei Group is a mixed-use complex integrating corporate functions (offices, executive rooms, conference rooms) with three TV studios, a news studio, and a recording studio. The design vertically separates corporate areas and smaller studios on upper floors from three TV studios on lower levels, each with dedicated entrances. To reflect the dynamic nature of media through ever-changing visuals, the facade features metallic tiles that shift appearance with ambient light. Openings are designed with horizontal continuous windows with low height to minimize impact on neighboring residences. Equipped with large-capacity generators for emergency backup, the building serves as a key Tokyo broadcaster and is a part of "Shiroyama-Hills" comprehensive design system.
