Shanghai Guoyi Home Chinese Medicine Clinic

This project is for a traditional Chinese medicine clinic located in Baoshan District, Shanghai. Surrounded by abundant greenery, the site’s natural environment was fully embraced in the architectural planning. Based on the concept of “Harmony Between People and Nature,” the design integrates architecture, interior, and landscape into a unified spatial experience.The facility’s zoning follows the theme of “Blending Function and Emotion,” with the medical building (clinical area) and the pharmacy building (pharmacy and café) arranged separately yet gently connected. The design balances transparency—allowing visitors to feel the connection between the two buildings—with the privacy required for medical care.The goal was to create a clinic that not only heals the body through medicine but also supports physical and emotional well-being through the healing power of the environment and space itself. The result is a place of comfort and care, where nature and design work together to support human health.
