A rental office building at the intersection of Karasuma Oike in Kyoto. Planned as a trailblazing project directly connected to the subway station, it emerged as a focal point of the city's new business district following the 1981 inauguration of the Subway Karasuma Line. The facade, combining heat-absorbing reflective glass curtain walls and dark gray granite, was designed to harmonize modernity with Kyoto's timeless urban aesthetic. With the 1997 opening of the Subway Tozai Line enhancing accessibility, the building continues to stand as a contemporary icon in this evolving district. Even today, it's a building that does not feel old.
