This project is a new-build, lodging-specialized hotel designed to accommodate the diverse styles of modern travel, under the theme of “relaxing in a space that suits your own journey.” The hotel offers a wide variety of guest rooms and lounges to meet the needs of today’s travelers. Located just a 6-minute walk from Tokyo Station, the site is nestled between Yaesu-dori and Yao-dori streets, with a deep, narrow plot flanked by buildings on both sides. The ground floor houses the lobby, which also functions as a temporary shelter for stranded commuters during disasters. The second floor features a lounge open to the public during the day, while guest rooms occupy the third floor and above. The standard floor plan adopts a central corridor layout running along the depth of the site. The structural span was carefully determined to maximize room frontage and eliminate interior columns, ensuring spacious and comfortable rooms. In addition to standard rooms, the hotel offers a variety of options including city-view twin rooms with large windows, wide twins and four-bed rooms for families, and connecting rooms for group stays. The exterior design is inspired by sumi-iro, a traditional Japanese ink-black color. A vertical composition of curtain walls, balconies, and core walls creates a calm yet striking façade, achieving a refined and elevated architectural presence.
